Library Services Potentially Impacted by Federal Funding Cuts
The Illinois statewide library delivery program faces possible challenges due to Executive Order 14238 that seeks to eliminate the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). Since the executive order was issued, many grants and contracts have been terminated and agency employees have been placed on administrative leave.

The Write Stuff
This summer, the library is excited to launch a new writers’ group that will meet on the third Monday of each month. Writers of all genres are invited to bring current writing projects for thoughtful support and constructive critique. Each session will start with a short writing exercise, followed by a discussion on current progress and reflections on work submitted in the previous session.

Free Printing and Copying
Free printing and copying credits added to Mount Prospect Public Library accounts reset annually. As of January 1, cardholders in good standing will have credits for 200 pages of black and white printing and copying, or 80 pages of color printing and copying, or a combination of black and white and color.
